NECRORITE
NECRORITE
In Death's Certitude
(Unholy Domain Records)
21:46min

This EP really looks promising, with it's old fashioned artwork and a band name that sounds really old school as well. NECRORITE is the brain child of Uriel Aguillon of the Mexican underground band MORBICUS, among others. They started as a one man band with Uriel doing everything and grew into a full band since the release of this EP (which has been released as a cassette version via Unholy Domain Records). One man bands often imply the fact that the drums are done by a machine, which is the case here as well. And now we already have the biggest problem of “In Death's Certitude”: The drum machine sounds like a cardbox. But it is not as grave as it looks on first sight. The midpaced Death Metal of NECRORITE is just average anyway and the production is of a lame just below mediocre quality. Honestly, with real drums and a better, more massive production, “In Death's Certitude” might have been quite enjoyable, but this way? No, Sir, thanks! Try again now with a full band!
