NEVERLIGHT HORIZON

NEVERLIGHT HORIZON
Perfection In Murder's Art
(Deadsun Records)
17:48min

NEVERLIGHT HORIZON is a band from Belgium, that originally started out in 1999 as BORN OF FIRE (back then still with a slightly different musical direction), but changed name and style rather quick, recorded five songs and released them as their first demo "The Awakening" in 2000. They draw their musical influences from acts suchs as Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Dying Fetus or Slayer, which results in a pretty raw Death / Thrash mixture. Last year they completed another, second demo ("Perfection In Murder's Art", once again with five songs), which caught the attention of the French label Deadsun Records who are about to (re-)release it as a MCD in March / April this year. The featured material is always very aggressive, with a vocal delivery often kinda close to intense Black Metal acts (yet not as shrieky), with a balanced mixture of thrashy riffings and brutal Death Metal outbursts. Still pretty much lacking in an own identity and a couple of more outstanding tunes, but considering the rather young age of the band's members, this might come slowly but surely in the near future. Band contact: NEVERLIGHT HORIZON, Route de Hamoir 63, 4500 Huy, Belgium, neverlighthorizon@hotmail.com, www.neverlighthorizon.be.tf
