NIGREDO
Facets Of Death
(Odium Records)
19:05min

Lead by veteran Maelstrom (DODSFERD, THOU ART LORD among others) and former EXARSIS’ Alex, NIGREDO is part of the Black Metal scene with a new approach. They definitely preserve the old feeling most of the time, but there are those Black'n'Roll parts that are quite popular these days, partly courtesy of DARKTHRONE. However, NIGREDO does not carry the distinctive old Greek Black Metal sound that Greece is famous for, but don’t be fooled, they are as effective as anybody in that group. You might hear some WATAIN influences here and there but nothing obvious. The production is very good and fits in with the style of the band, so expect no minimalistic clichés here. Favorite tracks: 'Nihilistic Iniquity' and 'MLK'. More info at www.facebook.com/nigredogr, www.odiumrex.com
