Swedeathrash band NODE from Italy was founded in 1994 by Steve Minelli (ex-DEATH SS). Now with their famous members gone (Minelli and SADIST drummer Oinos) the band has to stand on their own feet. And with this CD it might work out indeed. The excellent production by Pelle Saether (CARNAL FORGE, NECRODEATH, etc.) lays grounds for NODE taking the world by storm. By storm? Well, once you get accustomed to the fact that the music on "Sweatshops" is not really fast and straight into your face but instead rather complex and very heavy, it drags you right in. As long as it doesn't get too complicated) which "Sweatshops" doesn't), I like complexity anyway and the memorable melodic leads eat their way right into your brain. Doesn't get boring this way. In comparison with millions of bombastic "True" Metal bands from Italy that would rather deserve the term Pop, NODE offer powerful METAL for both your head and your neck. www.node.it
