OATH TO VANQUISH
OATH TO VANQUISH
Applied Schizophrenic Science
(Grindethic Records)

It is not everyday that you cross your path with a band just worthy to get merchandise of or even sit for a while and listen to their stuff. Well, OATH TO VANQUISH is one of those very rare occassions in which I feel compelled to actually sit back, relax and deeply enjoy what is coming out of the speakers. These Lebanese (yes, out of disrespect, they are from Lebanon!) lads will definitely will make Death Metal aficionados to shit in their pants with this collection of songs. OATH TO VANQUISH manages to masterfully blend US styled Death Metal, some Black Metal (specially in the slow doomy passages and high screams) and a few Thrash beats to spice it up in an amazing way. Dual vocals are simply phenomenal when done the OATH TO VANQUISH way. Technically speaking, one has to be a real dumbass to no realize the performing abilities of this trio and what really strikes me hard about them is the evident dedication, conviction and most important... the actual feel their compositions have imprinted. This is easily for me (along very few others) one of the best Metal albums coming out of this dying 2006 and a good example that brilliant musicians do not always come from US or Europe only. Get this or be a sucker the rest of your life at: www.grindethic.co.uk.
