POMSTA
Wild Lands
(Nocturnus Records)
39:55min

POMSTA (which translated means “revenge”) are hailing from Kiev, Ukrainia and “Wild Lands” is their second full length. Groove Metal in its deepest meaning. Various guitar styles merge with, of course, very groovy drums and a Rock'n'Roll bass line. The Sound POMSTA create on this record is perfectly warm and oppressive, which, for that music, seems to be just the right thing to work with. “Wild Lands” provide ten tracks mostly of a mid tempo, headbanging kind. And though it’s absolutely not my cup of tea I got to admit because of its warm and organic production it offers itself to a wide range of listeners. The technical skills that all of them display, guarantee a range from Hard Rock to Heavy Metal and Punk'n'Roll. Partly it this skills which provide the record its diversity. To make it short, “Wild Lands” is a record for everyone who is into heavy music of all different kinds and can be played in nearly every moment of life. Play yourself. www.facebook.com/pomstaband, www.facebook.com/nocturnusrecords
