RAGING FIRE
RAGING FIRE
Caught In The Game
(Eventhink Metal Records)
17:32min

I always keep an eye on the scene of our South West European neighbours just to be regularly updated with the latest news what is going on in Spain. There is no doubt about it that there has been a quite vital Metal movement (in all genres) on the Iberian Peninsula since the last couple of years. A lot of killer squads emerged from the underground and some of them got a decent degree of popularity even here in our area (just think of great acts like the Thrashers ANGELUS APATRIDA, IRON CURTAIN, HITTEN, WITCHTOWER etc.). RAGING FIRE from Murcia is a quite new outfit being established in 2012. This hungry and energetic five piece features one ex - member of IRON CURTAIN (drummer Cabo) and a current guitarist of HITTEN (Johnny Lorca) in its line-up. The band comes up with a nice brand of pure and honest traditional Heavy Metal which is deeply rooted in the NWOBHM. These Metalheads revive the good old British Metal spirt, pimp it up with their own flair and play so dedicated if there would be no tomorrow. Razorsharp guitar riffs and superb, blazing (twin) guitar duels let every headbanger's dream come true. A solid, powerful rhythm section gives the neccessary punch to rock everything into the ground. The excellent, maybe, a little bit early SAXON inspired vocals make it just perfect - this stuff simply craves for more. The excellent musicianship and tracks like 'Phantom Of The Hall' make "Caught In The Game" a worthwile four tracker from a promising band to watch out. If you are into the NWOBHM in general and enjoy Spanish Metal in the vein of the band members present and ex - bands as well then this squad is definitely something for you.
