RAUS! / PERUNWIT
RAUS! / PERUNWIT
Under The Sign Of The Black Sun
(Odium Records)
39:20min

This split release features two Polish acts, a more established one with PERUNWIT and the new project RAUS! featuring Aro from PERUNWIT and BLACK LEGION's Shadow. The first thing that really stroke my eye was the artwork that picks up elements of Nazi “aesthetics”. Quite compelled by that, I started my researches, just to find no real connection to the NSBM scene, except for the fact that PERUNWIT did a split release with the GRAVELAND side-project LEGION twenty years ago. So, let's go on to the music here. RAUS! are an attempt to combine Black Metal with Industrial, a mixture that combines frostiness with coldness. Music without any soul is the result of this, absolutely boring and completely redundant. As shitty as the artwork! PERUNWIT is an established act in the underground that is around for two decades now. But this doesn't make their part of this split one bit better. I always waited for a song to start, for someone to sing, but the five songs are nothing more than too long instrumental intros for Pagan Metal records. By the way, talking about Metal: no Metal here, just poor Pagan Neo Folk rubbish. “Under The Sign Of The Black Sun” only wasted my time, the resources of the earth and especially my patience. If you want to waste your time, you might check these links: www.facebook.com/rausband, www.facebook.com/perunwit, www.odiumrex.com
