REPUKED
REPUKED
Up From The Sewers
(Soulseller Records)
38:58min

Damned! Chris Reifert (AUTOPSY, ABSCESS etc.) must shed tears of joy if he would listen to this album. "Up From The Sewers", the second longplayer of Stockholm's REPUKED, is absolutely a total prostration to the US gods of rotten Death Metal. If you mix this up with elements of rancid and old IMPETIGO, some classical British Grindcore and a wink to the Swedish landmates of MURDER SQUAD then you truly know that you can expect a "Punk ridden" back to the roots in Grindcore trip by REPUKED. Musically and productionwise those four sickos have grown a lot on this record, especially when you compare it with their debut album "Pervertopia" (I don't like to use the word adult in combination with this band, haha)! Expect power and heaviness, but still with a true to the bone "human touch", means no plastic sound at all. Besides this REPUKED manages with their sort of "fecal humor" (titles, lyrics etc.) never to cross the small thin line between cult and bullshit! A really entertaining second album for sickos that need their daily dose of Grind attitude performed this way. Ask Soulseller Records (www.soulsellerrecords.com) for a possible vinyl version and remember: Puke & Repuke!!! More band information at www.facebook.com/pages/repuked/132754393430493
