THE RECKONING
THE RECKONING
Deathlike Millennia
(Shiver Records)
38:13min

THE RECKONING from Belgium were active in the underground since 1993 under their former name INFERNAL LEGIONS. Their influences are bands like BEHEMOTH, SLAYER and MARDUK. That's what I figured out while reading their biography and while listening to their debut CD "Deathlike Millennia" I can only confirm: yes, they sound like MARDUK, hehe. This isn't meant in a negative way, for sure they won't win a price for originality, but they play it very good and very skilled and on this CD they offer some really good songs with cool riffs, great and fast drumming and with a very good and clean production. If you are looking for a band in the vein of newer MARDUK this one is highly recommended to you!! www.shiver-records.com.
