SACRAMENTAL AWAKENED
SACRAMENTAL AWAKENED
Turned To Stone
(Rotten To The Core)
27:44min

SACRAMENTAL AWAKENED from Belgium is another band which is trying to add something new to the current Melodic Death Metal scene. If you look at the latest releases there are two big developments in this scene - one is the let's call it the IN FLAMES way of life, the other one is more the American one, established by bands like As I Lay Dying, Machine Head, Killswitch Engage etc. "Turned To Stone", the debut of SACRAMENTAL AWAKENED is a good piece of music due to the fact that the band know there business and even if they are not the position to offer a new masterpiece of melodic Death Metal they create good music by putting together the wellknown pieces. Especially when the band is leaving the established ways and adding more doom orientated vocals to their music they are in the position to add some more fire to the cold soup of melodic Death Metal. If the band can combine their musical skills with more room for developments in the future I hope that we will hear more about them. Even if it's unpopular I think that the playing time of only 28 minutes is more than weak so maybe SACRAMENTAL AWAKENED can wait a little bit longer for the studio date of their second album and add at least 15 minutes to give all Metalheads worldwide a chance for more stuff from Belgium! Solid debut, let's see what the future will bring! www.shiver-records.com, www.sacramental.net
