SADISTIC INTENT
SADISTIC INTENT
Morbid Faith
(Iron Pegasus Records)
10:04min

I just can't be objective anymore when it comes to these guys! To me SADISTIC INTENT is simply THE band that always understood best what real Death Metal is all about. They got the perfect dark image, they have a vocalist with a brutal, yet very charismatic voice who knows that real brutality comes from words you can understand as opposed to the fashionable grunted frog noise style. And their songs come up with a lethal, heavy riffing that SLAYER would definitely be proud of these days. Plus - they don't need to play full speed ahead all the time in order to prove their heaviness (which is a joke anyway...). SADISTIC INTENT is DEATH METAL. Period! This bloody red little piece of vinyl features two more reasons to worship the uncrowned gods of Death Metal: side a has a newly recorded version of their old classic 'Morbid Faith' (even different to the "Thrashing Holocaust" version), totally matured and improved sounding, while side b features a cover of the old POSSESSED classic 'The Exorcist' with Mr. Jeff Becerra himself on lead vocals!!! This must be heaven, cause not only does this guy still sing in his godly and unique, brutal style that a lot of us worshipped ever since POSSESSED's classic 1984 demo, the SADISTIC guys furthermore backed him up so well, that this is probably THE ULTIMATE POSSESSED tribute song EVER! Amazing!!! Forget about the useless crappy CANNIBAL CORPSE version - this is the real thing!!! I just can't get enough of it! I just hope that "The Second Coming Of Darkness" will be finished soon, cause that album is most certainly gonna be the first new REAL alltime Death Metal classic ever since "Altars Of Madness" (believe me...)! Essential band, essential 7" - buy!!!! Iron-Pegasus@t-online.de
