SERPENS AEON

SERPENS AEON
Dawn Of Kouatl
(Moribund Records)
36:33min

Formed in 1999 by two ex-THE CHASM members SERPENS AEON completed their line up with ex-DRAWN AND QUARTERED skin basher Matt Cason in 2000 and after a couple of shows they finally deliver their first full-length album "Dawn Of Kouatl", which offers excellent morbid and twisted old school Death / Thrash Metal. While reminding a lot of THE CHASM concerning the mythological background, the vocals and the sinister, original feeling, SERPENS AEON musically have a stronger emphasis on Thrash and are definitely faster and more driving than THE CHASM. The seven own songs presented on this CD offer a huge spectrum of violent aggression, melodicity that is not cheesy but fascinating, dark and mysterious and numerous killer riffs that should attract Death and Thrash Metal fans alike. "Dawn Of Kouatl" is an extremely strong debut and there is not a single weak song on it, even the hidden track - a cover of GRAVE's 'Extremely Rotten Flesh' turned out great. Just have a listen at the MP3-file available on www.moribundcult.com, this band kills! Wellproduced and diversified Aztecian Death / Thrash mayhem!!! Also surf to www.serpensaeon.com, the band's official site.
