SKYFIRE
SKYFIRE
Mind Revolution
(Hammerheart Records)
43:40min

If you love melodic, aggressive Metal like CHILDREN OF BODOM, BRIMSTONE or FINNTROLL you should make sure to get a copy of this album, because meanwhile SKYFIRE have become a serious concurrence for those acts. Although I personally absolutely despise this mixture of melodic Power / Progressive Metal with keyboards and emotionally screamed vocals, I can objectively tell you that anyone who digs this type of Metal should be very happy with "Mind Revolution". A powerful Abyss-production, skilful melodic guitar playing, powerful driving drumming and keyboard / piano passages that are undoubtedly much better (= easier to endure) than anything CHILDREN OF BODOM have ever quenched out of their synthies (Mr. Franke, it seems to me that you never seriously listened to CHILDREN OF BODOM! Cause if you did, you would most certainly agree that they are far superior in every aspect! - Frank) Swedish SKYFIRE's second album is a good alternative to all people who were disappointed by the BODOM's latest releases, so give it a try!!! To get more information about SKYFIRE check the band's web site www.skyfireonline.net or the one of their label www.hammerheart.com.
