STRIKEMASTER
STRIKEMASTER
Majestic Strike
(Blower Records)
31:36min

One of my favorite Mexican Thrash Metal combos STRIKEMASTER hit us with their 3rd full-length assault, carrying the title "Majestic Strike". These Mexican fellows have always appealed to me with their aggressive, frenzied and unrelenting Thrash Metal - and on "Majestic Strike" nothing has changed regarding their uncompromising Thrash Metal sound, which makes me happy. STRIKEMASTER keep pretty much pedal to the metal, marching forth full of killing firepower - and basically taking everything out of their wildly thrashing, well-oiled machine to please even the most devoted, die-hard Thrash Metal fans by the 8 songs they have recorded for this opus. There are some clear influences both from European and American Thrash Metal to be found in STRIKEMASTER's unadulterated Thrash Metal sound, off which such names as KREATOR, DARK ANGEL, old SLAYER, DESTRUCTION and some others, seem to strike out constantly when spinning this disc around with sheer excitement. I love the idea some bands are out there for not inventing the wheel again but just using the ol' and good wheels for their own purposes to make everyone's ride as smooth and pleasing as possible. That's exactly what the STRIKEMASTER fellas do on "Majestic Strike" as well - and if a song called 'Mother Hyena' ain't STRIKEMASTER's sincere tribute to that one California-based Thrash Metal band, then nothing is. "Majestic Strike" should belong to every true Thrash Metal fan's CD-shelf. If you don't like them, you are not my friend. www.myspace.com/strikemaster666, www.blower-records.com
