Chaos Rising

This is already record number four of these guys from Sweden. They got together back in 1992 and are already wellknown in the Death Metal scene, still serving old school Death Metal with influences from Thrash and Black Metal. After the intro 'Slowly We Frost' (a little hint to two wellknown bands), which starts slow and reserved, the blast comes. 10 fine old school tracks, very well presented, no doubts about the technical and musical skills of the guys. Michael Johansson's typical Death Metal vocals fit perfect to the presented material. To achieve the perfect old school sound the band recorded, mixed and mastered the album at the EVOCATION studio by EVOCATION's guitar player Vesa Kenttäkumpu. Throughout the playing time there is little to less variation during the songs for me, but for old school heads it's the perfect record without too much innovation and miles away from modern influences.
