TERATO
TERATO
The Morbid Wraiths
(Worship Him Records)
11:31min

TERATO falls in the "don't know who they are but hell they are promising" category for what I just heard. This is their debut release under the darkened wings of Worship Him Records and I must admit that they are a band to keep a close eye in the near future. I know this is just a 7" EP but I feel like transported to a time when you were able to discover worthy bands putting $6 in an envelope, hide them carefully, register the damn thing and wait anxiously for the goods to arrive a while later. This band is not revolutionary or whatsoever but they are performing their Black Metal with a diminished Death Metal touch in pretty decent manner. They have the cold, eerie and profound despair of some other classic outfits like FUNERAL MIST, SORHIN, old SETHERIAL or similar stuff. The variety contained in the eleven plus minutes of their performance should be enough to quench the avid Black Metal fan looking for new darkened horizons. www.myspace.com/ruinousterato.
