Vintage Black Mass
(Heavy Forces Records)

This release was supposedly released back in 2012, though sent this way earlier this year, and have since then gotten a good deal of spins on my turntable, a limited run of 500 pieces of clear red vinyl cut in 45 rpm for our listening pleasure, that's a good start. TERRÖRHAMMER hails from Serbia and my first encounter with the band was when this LP hit me. We are getting some good dirty and raw old school thrashing Speed Metal with some Black Metal touches, good chugging guitar riffs, fastpaced screaming strings and drums that thunders with quite simple, yet effective rhythm patters and a dark and puked bastard of a growl and scream! Welcome back to the 80s baby. A good mixture of good old Eastern European madness on top of good old German Thrash Metal, raw and cut straight to the bone with a hellish Rock'n'Roll attitude, Apollyon would become proud if asked to participate on a track or two. It is not the most original output in the world, though I think the guys do it quite good, the music grips me and makes my head 'bang, and when the back up choirs set in in 'Hammer Of The Terror Cult', then I'm totally sold. Unfortunately one of the original members has left the band, and TERRÖRHAMMER is continued without his consent, so what happens with the entity I don't know, though a bit bad timing, as this release has hooked me a bit on the art of vintage black mass'. Rocking thrashing Speed Metal with a good dark touch with a good deal of energy and intensity, can always be used! And a really nice vinyl release from Heavy Forces Records with a nice innersleeve with lyrics and info, poster, sticker and all the relevant info on the record's sticker, that's cool, and from the other couple of releases I've seen from the label, it's worth supporting! Feel the hammer of the Serbian necro Speed Metal hooligans:,,
