This Greek band started as a Death Metal band 10 years ago. Fast forward that decade and we have a band that shows their roots of Death Metal but with a blackened touch, comparable with bands like DISSECTION and UNANIMATED although to be more precise, the band whose I recall more in sound and style would be MORK GRYNING, all of those using a melodic base with fast riffs and that distinctive tremolo based sound. There are also some bits that reminded me of their country mates BEHEMOTH. After listening to it a quite few times, I have that feeling of deja-vu more than once and had to turn my eyes to really check I was not hearing those Death / Black Metal bands from Sweden form the 90s. But being myself a fan of the style, and having such a well-crafted, if totally unoriginal product, I just let me to be taken away by the songs and the catchy riffs that appear here and there. At times I also sense a bit of orthodox Swedish Black Metal style, in the vein of early WATAIN (on vocals mainly) or OFERMOD.
