WOLVES OF HATE
WOLVES OF HATE
Battle Hymns And War Songs
(Iron Age Records)
37:18min

In war as in battle there is only one definite question - victory or dead? The debut of this American band which has been released earlier this year via Iron Age Records is certainly not leading to a big party in Valhalla. WOLVES OF HATE are combining harsh Death Metal with a lot of BATHORY pathos and the basic idea sounds more than interesting, but the final result in form of nine songs - which are more or less nearly identical - is really disappointing. Even if I have to admit that also some minor AMON AMARTH influences can be identified they are not in the position to vary their scheme to even a minor degree. I think that WOLVES OF HATE must try to add further influences to their music otherwise we have to expect another more than predictable release and this will guide them to a certain creative death. www.myspace.com/wolvesofhate, www.ironagerecords.com
