WORMRIDDEN
WORMRIDDEN
Infesting The Grave
(Extremely Rotten Records / Me Saco Un Ojo Records)
11:31min

Here's what you have to know about WORMRIDDEN - it's a project formed by David (UNDERGANG) on guitars / bass and Takashi (ANATOMIA) on drums / vocals. They take the slowest elements from their main bands, decompose them deeper into downtuned madness and make two tracks - 'Putrid Remains' and 'Infested By Worms' - which will squeeze the last breath of air, encoffinate and suffocate you in a slow, torturous, drab, decomposing necrofest of Doom / Death Metal! Released on tape by Extremely Rotten Records, on 7" by Me Saco Un Ojo Records and available as a digital download from the Bandcamp page (http://wormridden.bandcamp.com) it gives you a chance to choose your preferable format to be squashed by them, and as far as I'm concerned, the tape version adds a whole different dimension to this rotted pleasure. It really sounds as if it has been dug from the grave after being infested by worms for a decade or so. Hell, listening to this stuff I'm struck at how vast Death Metal genre can be, this is totally the opposite end of technical / fast / "more brutal than thou" stuff, it even makes most old school Death Metal bands sound polished and neat. It is quite a feat to achieve this feeling of heavyness with such simply played riffs. Not to be missed if you like both aforementioned bands, sloooow Death Metal in general and DISMEBOWELMENT in particular, hehe! None are heavier than WORMRIDDEN, be warned!
