Scream Forth Blasphemy - A Tribute To Morbid Angel
(Dwell Records)
58:04min

Another tribute album coming from Dwell Records. The featured band is MORBID ANGEL. And in my eyes "Scream Forth Blasphemy" is a really dignified and quality tribute album. On one hand we have one of the greatest and most influential Death Metal bands which created a lot of immortal hymns and on the other hand we have a whole bunch of excellent wild raging and brutal bands which pay homage to their influences. There are two groups of cover versions on this album, the good ones and the excellent ones. The excellent ones are performed by: HEADHUNTER D.C., DIABOLIC, INFAMY and COFFIN TEXTS. Believe me there is no weak or bad cover version. All the other bands (MANGLED, CENTURIAN, ANGEL CORPSE, WITHERED EARTH, MYSTIFIER, DRACONIS, BLACK WITCHERY, DAMNATION, THE CHASM, AURORA BOREALIS and EXMORTIS) also did a good job. I wouldn't call myself a fan of tribute albums but in this case I'm really enthusiastic.
