Contributors wanted!!!! VOICES FROM THE DARKSIDE is constantly in need of reliable underground maniacs, that are interested to contribute to our website. Your musical taste should be along the lines of what we cover here (Black, Death & old school Thrash Metal, as well as classic 80s Metal acts) and the english language shouldn't be a problem for you either. Same goes for the necessary time and motivation to do this on a regular base. Due to the fact that we will have to forward promo CDs to you, we prefer to work with interested people from inside of Germany (the postage costs to send material to foreign countries is simply ridiculous, not to mention the waste of time). But if you're running a zine, radio show, label, mailorder or whatever (so that you have access to a lot of new releases yourself) you may contact us from outside of Germany as well. So, don't hesitate any longer and get in touch!

Ibex Moon Records has inked a deal with Tampa, Florida based DENIAL FIEND, the new project of vocalist Kam Lee (Masscare, Death), bassist Terry Butler (Massacre, Death, Six Feet Under), drummer Curtis Beeson (Nasty Savage) and Sam Williams (Down By Law, Pseudo Heroes). "I'm proud to work with these Metal and Death Metal pioneers and I look forward to Denial Fiend putting out a great release", said Ibex Moon owner John McEntee. "I feel that they will appeal to old school and newer Metal fans alike." The band's debut album, which will also mark Lee's first full-length recording in over a decade, is planned for a June 2007 release. The album is tentatively titled "They Rise." "I think Denial Fiend will surprise a lot of people", said Butler. "This is not a 'flash-in-the-pan' side project. It's a band that is dedicated and ready to bring Metal to the masses!" A demo recording of the track 'Cover Me In Blood' is available on Denial Fiend's MySpace page at ww.myspace.com/denialfiendband. Kam Lee is also working on a project with Matt Olivo of REPULSION called DEJECTA... "It's an old band he had at one time, but he wants to re-form it with me on vocals", says Lee when VOICES contacted him about his current activties. Kam was also asked by Phil of Malevolent Creation to join as vocalist for the new HATEPLOW album. "I haven't heard back from him in a few months... so I don't know if that is still a go or not." He also announced plans for a MASSACRE tribute album, to be released in 2008. "I'm still trying to find a label that will release it and more bands to participate... I already have bands like THANATOS from Holland and FROZEN ILLUSION from Germany (they are now THE CRIMSON GHOSTS) and maybe NUNSLAUGHTER from the US."

In June BLASPHEMIC CRUELTY will start recording their debut full length "The Devil's Mayhem", with a planned release before the end of the year. The band's current line-up consists of Gene Palubicki (ANGEL CORPSE, guitars), Gina Ambrosio (drums) and Alex Blume (Ares Kingdom, bass / vocals). According to Gene "fans of albums like "Torment In Fire", "Obsessed By Cruelty" or the "Taste Of Blood" demo (from SACRIFICE, SODOM, SLAUGHTER LORD respectively) will feel most rewarded by this release."

In March this year Poland's Old Temple Records will release the new DECEPTION album "Nails Sticking Offensive" as well as a split CD / 7"EP (the latter limited to 666 handnumbered copies) of SHINING and FUNERAL DIRGE, entitled "The Sinister Alliance". IMPALED NAZARENE's "Nihil" album has officially entered Germany's index list A on January 17. This means that "Nihil" is officially banned in Germany. Here's an official statement from the band regarding this: "Looking back on 2006 and 2005, being unable to play concerts in Italy, Austria, France, Poland and Germany, one can only conclude that freedom of speech and freedom of religion, things that are supposed to be the foundation of the European Union, are not existing. Your lives are terrorized by deranged catholic sects and glue sniffing communists. Braindead imbeciles tell you what you should/what you cannot listen to, read or watch. Happy fucking middle ages part 666 and fuck off."

Northern Germany's INGURGITATING OBLIVION are looking for a new drummer as they mutually parted ways with Florian/Floboter. The reason being musical differences and lack of motivation. Interested drummers are encouraged to get in touch via www.ingurgitating-oblivion.de or their Myspace domain www.myspace.com/ingurgitatingoblivion. Despite that, the band is currently busy composing new songs for their second album.

Germany's Dragon Productions (www.dragon-productions.com) will be the exclusive booking agency for Sweden's NECROPHOBIC from now on. The band's songwriting process for the next album has already started, while their very early stuff will most likely be re-released in the not too distant future as well. A bootleg with all the old stuff has already circulating the scene for quite some time and Joakim Sterner (original member) now feels the time is right to release all of that in a more professional and rightful way. There's also a NECROPHOBIC DVD in the making, which should be finished later this year. For more info or updates check out www.necrophobic.net.
