HIMNOS RITUALES DE GUERRA # 1
HIMNOS RITUALES DE GUERRA # 1
(80 pages, A4, printed, in English)

What a great debut issue! Debut issue? Yeah, even though the name HIMNOS RITUALES DE GUERRA might ring a bell to some of you already, due to the fact that the editors have been doing a website of the same name for quite a while now, this is their first printed edition. And the result turned out highly convincing. What you get here is a very cool selection of stuff that was already featured on the website, but of course it's always a lot more entertaining to read it on paper. Musically the guys have a quite similar taste as we have, which is clearly reflected in their selection of brutal bands: BLOOD STORM, USURPER, UNLEASHED, DISCIPLES OF MOCKERY, IMMOLATION, NUNSLAUGHTER, VITAL REMAINS, INCINERATOR, IMPENDING DOOM, HARMONY DIES, MALEVOLENT CREATION, INSISION, NECRODEATH, HATE PLOW, BEWITCHED, DECEASED, STARGAZER, LEVIFER, HADEZ, ATOMIZER, LIBER SPIRITUUM, REIGN OF TERROR, EMBALMED SOULS, EVIL INCARNATE and SINISTER. Additionally you get an interview with UNHOLY TERROR's editor Hacker, a whole bunch of reviews and lots of vintage SLAYER stuff (flyer, tickets, ads etc.) which was used for the layout (very cool idea!). My only complain is the fact that - even though I enjoy that type of music myself - two traditional Metal acts (GRAVE DIGGER and TWISTED TOWER DIRE) also found their way into this issue. But as it's only those two I can live with that. The entire zine is written in English, so there's really no excuse why you should miss out on it. Available for $5 worldwide from: Jimmy Ruiz, P.O. Box 1451, Popayán, Colombia, South America, email: editor@himnosrituales.com, website: www.himnosrituales.com
