Mission completed! With his "The Return... Of Svensk Dödsmetall" Nicola finally managed to create the ultimate work to represent the moniker "Encyclopdia". Where the first edition was already amazing and almost complete I dare to say that with this 2nd edition the editor created a complete overview of the Swedish Death Metal scene between 1988 and 1992. There is nothing left to say anymore, ALL bands are featured and the result can't be more in-depth. This is a tapetrader's Eldorado and the same paradise for every Swedish Death Metal fan of the early nineties. I can say that no additional re-work, follow-up or anything else is necessary anymore. To make one thing clear: This is no re-release of the first print of "Encyclopedia Of Svensk Dödsmetall", according to Nicola this book features 50% of the old material and 50% new material. All old articles have been re-arranged with additional details, different artwork and more and more. Among others, these are some of the new features: Peter Palmdahl and the early days of DISSECTION, David Blomqvist / DISMEMBER, Jens Näsström (and his involvement in "Projections Of A Stained Mind"), Anders Nyström with a fantastic KATATONIA feature, Martin Larsson (HOUSE OF USHER, AT THE GATES), Jocke Göthberg (DARKIFIED). Nicola simply managed to create the ultimate bible of the Swedish Death Metal history and released an outstanding and not repeatable literature in the history of Metal music.
