Dutch melodic Thrashers DETONATION will headline the Avalanchefestival in Delhi, India on February 22. Avalanche is the heavy-music portion of the four-day cultural Moksha festival, an annual event organized at the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (N.S.I.T.). Commented the band: "Up to now, India hasn't been the most obvious choice for Metal bands to tour. Past few years, however, the Indian Metal scene has been growing rapidly with a new breed a quality Metal bands emerging, and with renowned international acts as MEGADETH, IRON MAIDEN and SEPULTURA announcing tours to India. Sweden's oldschool Death Metal horde NOMINON will do a special mini-tour in the northern part of Europe during early March. Check out our tourdates for all details. The band has also been confirmed for both the Central Illinois Metalfest and the Michigan Extreme Fest 2 in July. This will mark the first ever visit for NOMINON on the US soil. Right now a two week tour is being planned around these festivals as well. In related news, some of the long lost live recordings from the Colinas Bar, Branca in Portugal from September 2005 during the VITAL REMAINS / NOMINON tour will finally be released as a live 7" vinyl EP during early March on Badger Records from the Netherlands. The 7" EP will be entitled "Legiões Em Portugal" and will include the songs 'Hordes Of Flies' and 'Condemned To Die' (the latter previously only available on the US version of the latest NOMINON album "Terra Necrosis"). After years of (near) unavailability, Displeased Records will reissue Dying Fetus' 1998 "Killing On Adrenaline" album this Summer, with upgraded layout and freshly remastered.

Angelcorpse have announced the official addition of drummer Paul Collier to the band's line-up. Palubicki, Helmkamp and Collier are currently in the planning stages for an upcoming tour of Europe, as well as the US West Coast, Australia and New Zealand. Specific dates and more information will be announced soon.

THESYRE's Eric Syre has issued the following official statement about the band's new album: "Most of the material for Thesyre's next album is written as I am typing. We should start rehearsing and arranging the new material next week and we might be recording the new album later this spring. What can you expect? Both our split 7" with Audiopain and Macabre Omen might be indicative of how the album might sound: a little rawer. I would also like to include some of those 'industrial' elements appearing on Thesyre's early 1995-96 demos. Finally, all the lyrics will be in French this time and we might record a cover song or two."

BOLT THROWER will be playing this year's Party.San festival. Here's the official statement of the band: "So, we're very happy to announce that the festival we have chosen to play this summer is the Party.San Open Air in Bad Berka, Germany on 7-9th August. On January 04, 2008 former SKYCLAD drummer Keith Baxter died of liver failure in hospital surrounded by family and friends. He was 36 years old. Rest in peace Keith!

CHAOSFEAR have started the pre-production of their second, as of yet untitled album. It will be recorded in the beginning of 2008 and probably will have 10 songs. The album is scheduled to be released this year via OSM Records. "We are very excited with the new songs. The songs have the same energy as usual, and I believe that they are more aggressive. HELLWITCH will enter the studio in March 2008 to begin recording its long-awaited sophomore full-length album. The new CD will feature nine songs and is rumored to be titled "Mythological Lies... Enlightened Paganus". Open Grave Records will re-release HELLWITCH's classic album "Syzygial Miscreancy" in early 2008 as part of the Open Grave Records Underground Reissues series. It will be completely remastered and feature new artwork. There will be a full-color insert as well. The original "Syzygial Miscreancy" was released in 1990 via Wild Rags Records, and was recorded at Morrisound Studios with veteran producer Scott Burns. HELLWITCH formed back in 1984 and released several demos and 7" EPs during the second half of the '80s before issuing a highly acclaimed debut album, "Syzygyal Miscreancy", in 1990 and a mini-CD, "Terraasymmetry", in 1992. They recorded a few more demos through the '90s until they finally completed their 2005 recording, "The Epitome Of Disgrace", which led to an agreement with Xtreem Music.
