CRADLE OF FILTH

Only 8 months after the stellar LP “Midian” CRADLE OF FILTH return with an album of 10 tracks comprised of 4 new ones, a cover, some old tunes replayed and a couple of instrumentals. So it’s not really a new full length. Just recently signed to Sony now, COF still deliver their patented brand of eerie, gothly, vampiric symphonic blackened metal. Still in the same vein as “Midian” with maybe a little more instrumentation. The new tracks ‘All Hope In Eclipse’, ‘Born In A Burial Gown’, ‘Sin Deep My Wicked Angel’ and ‘Dinner At Deviants Place’ deliver the goods (2 of them are intrumentals) Redone versions of ‘Summer Dying Fast’ and ‘Principle Of Evil Made Flesh’ simply rip on here. The cover of ‘No Time To Cry’ by The Sisters Of Mercy is pretty well played and overall cool. So if you are looking for an album to tie you over until the next ghoulish platter from COF then this is the perfect remedy until their major label debut next year.
