Nordhessisch Noise Terror
Another quite new name here: CELEBRATE HATE is a north Hessian three-piece, already around since 1999 but hasn't blown up much dust yet. Up to now, only one demo decorates their vita, "From The Deaf, For The Deaf", released in 2009. Now they're out to change that fact with a brand new demo, entitled "Nordhessisch Noise Terror". The title already hints on at least some influences from the Grindcore scene, but that's just a part of the truth. On their internet pages, they state to play groovy Death Metal with Thrash and Grind influences. These words speak much more of the truth. Add a sense for the modern primitive and a lyrical look on the bright sides of life and death, then you will have a nice description of CELEBRATE HATE. We have seven songs here, three of them pretty short in best Grindcore tradition, and lyrics both in German and English. The short opener 'Kotnascher' ('Excrement Nibbler', roughly translated) already serves as a good taste what expects the listener here: grooves in REPULSION style, a thrashy mood and a blasting break with lyrics about a quite gross topic in best Death Metal vocal style. 'Doomsday Technology' is a longer one and a little more in the Death Metal vein, yet this one shows the bands sense for the primitive in a good way, too. The same goes for 'Beaten Into Peace' and 'Kadaver Tango' (no translation needed, I guess), both of them showing the Thrash Metal influences on the riffing. On the opposite, the shorties 'Automaten Auf Den Augen' (can't translate that, for it loses all its fun then) and 'Alles Eine Frage Der Finanzierung' ('It's All Just A Question Of Financing') should be a feast for Grindcore lunatics. The final highlight 'Abhorrent Thoughts' is one for all into primitive old school Death Metal with a certain Grindcore edge: primitive, yet still a joy. If you feel addressed, don't hesitate to check out CELEBRATE HATE at www.facebook.com/pages/celebrate-hate/216742128361426. Right now, the demo is only available as a free download at http://celebratehate.bandcamp.com, but physical copies are also planned, even with a bonus track.
