CELTACHOR
CELTACHOR
In The Halls Of Our Ancient Fathers
(self-financed)
36:21min

The stories of our ancestors are often told these days but rarely in such a convincing metallic way. CELTACHOR from the evergreen island have released a concept demo in which lyrics and music are essentially connected. It's mandatory to follow up the story - all lyrics are available in the plain but nevertheless beautiful booklet - and the slightly Celtic touched Black Metal is giving the lyrics a more than suitable home. Musically the band from Dublin / Ireland is heavily influenced by the good BATHORY, supported by the typical dose of Irish folklore - only instrument here are the wellknown whistles. But CELTACHOR are definitely no Pagan Metal band, they are following the dark path and the basis metallic structure is reminding me of old cult acts like the decayed MAYHEMIC TRUTH. For a self released underground output the band has done everything right - convincing material and lyrics plus a more than supporting layout - and every bathorised Metalhead will enjoy a further typical Irish Black Metal band next to their clan brothers PRIMORDIAL and MAEL MORDHA.
