CENSORED
CENSORED
System Disease
(self-financed)
19:32min

The Swiss trio CENSORED was founded in 1994 and "System Disease" is their second release and contains an interesting mixture of well-crafted modern US-style Death Metal à la DYING FETUS with slight Thrash and Hardcore elements and a raw yet powerful production. The vocals are mainly aggressive screams that add an additional individual note to CENSORED's overall sound, because they are capable of summoning memories of early 90s Death Metal like the godly RESSURECTION. Sometimes there are also some growled parts, which are the only weakness on CENSORED's MCD, they are way too far from being brutal enough. Except this minor point of criticism, I can't find anything negative on "System Disease", the song writing is great, the riffs varied and a nice blend of old school drive and modern grooves and the sound has warm heavy feeling. I hope CENSORED get rid of or replace the growling guy and continue to create more entertaining and engaged contemporary Death Metal with socio-critical lyrics. They are definitely talented newcomers! Contact: Daniel Hasler, Albisriederstrasse 20, 8003 Zürich. www.censored.ch
