DEVIL IN YOU
DEVIL IN YOU
Demons
(self-financed)

DEVIL IN YOU is an outfit hailing from Sevilla in Spain. The band is already active in the underground since 2010 and after some line-up changes they present their second self-released output entitled “Demons”. The band plays US-styled Death Metal, which appears sometimes very groovy and sometimes very technical. Surely influenced by the well-known bands like MORBID ANGEL and SUFFOCATION, especially SIX FEET UNDER comes into my mind every time I listen to their current output and this is not negative in any case, as SIX FEET UNDER released some solid albums in the last years. Their music is also very groovy sometimes with nice grunts from their female vocalist Bárbara and solid guitar work of both their guitarists. Especially their leads and solos are very technical and professional and seem to be heavily influenced by mighty DEATH during their technical second era. The return of their original drummer Jesús secured them a solid and technical versed fundament for their sound which gets completed by professional and fine songwriting. The presented eleven songs are all on a high level and enjoyable to listen to. Surely also this outfit is not presenting anything new and their sound in general is not so unique that they could be differentiated from other bands so easily but all this gets compensated by a bunch of really good riffs and solos and a lot of playfulness and soul. The production is clear and powerful and absolutely fine for a self-released album. So if you like good made underground US-influenced Death Metal, check the band and their nice current output out at following locations: www.facebook.com/pages/devil-in-you/231480380275227, http://devilinyou666.bandcamp.com
