DROWNED
DROWNED
Viscera Terrć
(Black Warcult)
19:45min

Germany's DROWNED have been around since 1992 already. Their members as well as their homebase changed various times ever since, a fact which is definitely reflected in their musical creations as well. From the "eerie Death / Black / Doom Metal" of their early days they have evolved into a pure, straight ahead brutal old school Death Metal act with strong similarities to Scandinavian acts of the early 90s (classic GRAVE meets DEMIGOD and the likes). Their newest offering is a very impressive 4 song demo by the name "Viscera Terræ", which is the follow-up to their two demos from 1993 (self-titled) and 1995 ("Conquering The Azure"), and their 7" ("Ærth") which got released via Stormbringer Productions in 1998. The current line-up consists of Theby (drums), Tlmnn (guitar / bass) and Mors Dalos Ra (of NECROS CHRISTOS, vocals) and does a perfect job on this recording. You actually won't recognize that the material was put down to tape last year as it totally captures the feeling and sound of the aformentioned period / bands. So, this demo is definitely adressed to all those of you again, who also found out about the existence of likeminded acts such as ERODED or DEATHEVOKATION through our website most recently. The demo was released on tape and comes with a pro-printed cover, but the material might be released on mini LP and / or MCD as well in the not too distant future. There are also plans for a limited CD-R re-release of "Conquering The Azure" via Black Warcult. For all further info and ordering information contact Black Warcult at www.todeskult.de.
