FEAR CONNECTION
Raging Terror - EP
(self-financed)
18:14min

FEAR CONNECTION is a new band hailing from our Voices homebase Bremen in Northern Germany. Active since 2016, the band finally presents their first self-released four track EP "Raging Terror". The opening track 'Self Destruction' offers pretty solid Thrash Metal with a melodic Death Metal painting and already makes clear that the involved members have solid musical experience. It can easily be compared to the current KREATOR direction, only with Death Metal grunts as vocal style. The lead melodies are pretty fine and quite memorable and make this opener a really nice Death / Thrash experience. 'Raging Terror' continues this direction. It's again classic Thrash Metal, but with a very Scandinavian styled melodic lead guitar and a very good solo in the middle. I personally enjoy their style very much as the band incorporates some really nice influences and manages to write catchy but also neckbreaking songs. The third track 'Hypocrisy' is a tight Death / Thrash song, again with some Scandinavian melodies and very thick rhythm guitars. It reminds me a bit of THE DUSKFALL or even DIMENSION ZERO. The grunts of vocalist Rolf get enriched here by some Hardcore styled choruses in the back but he also starts to scream pretty cool which varies his vocals. The last track 'Attitude' starts with some nice bass-lines and a thrashy Hardcore guitar before the aforementioned melodic lead guitar appears again. The drum work is also very good and very tight in all four tracks, so the overall impression of this band is good and the tracks are recommended for all Death / Thrash fans who like a melodic edge in the music. I hope to hear some more material in the near future from them. For more info, check out their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/fearconnection2016
