LÁGRIMAS NEGRAS
LÁGRIMAS NEGRAS
In Penumbra
(self-financed)
27:32min

LÁGRIMAS NEGRAS play the most interesting Goth / Doom Metal I've heard from Spain in the last years. Although their name could be extremely typical (Black Tears in Spanish) "In Penumbra" is far from being typical. Their music is extremely atmospheric, basically based on the best keyboards I've heard in a Spanish Goth / Doom Metal band ever. It's difficult to find a comparison, they mix clean with more guttural vocals, although never reaching Death Metal, they use heavy guitars with some acoustic parts and as I've said the keyboards are always present in the music. Sometimes they remind me of MONUMENTUM and when they fasten the guitars they sound more like CREMATORY era "Awaken" or even GOLGOTHA. Maybe the only problem is that they should improve the clean vocals, but I suppose that with a better production and more time they will be perfectly able to overcome that, because they are clearly experienced musicians. Hope they find the support they need, because in Spain there are bands with far more quality than other European countries and I think that LÁGRIMAS NEGRAS are one of those. lagrimasnegrassoria@hotmail.com
