Instead of the recordings made by the American LEGACY, who later went on to form the more successful TESTAMENT, what you'll get here are equally good songs made by a lesser known LEGACY. There's a distinct German taste in these songs, most of it offered by the vocal patterns. The rest is pure Speed (or Proto-Thrash, if you like) Metal. Whereas many bands excite listeners by making them enamored of the particular style of songwriting the band writes in, bands like LEGACY make them proud to be Metalheads, a feat famously achieved by bands like IRON MAIDEN and JUDAS PRIEST who embraced Metal as a term and modus operandi. This is exciting music; simple and energetic. There's really very little fault to be had with this record. It may not be sterling, but there's not a single dull spot on it.
