A pure female Metal band is still something special and if I think about former bands which preferred to convince their audience by playing naked or when the pure fact itself was the most important thing, not every time a proof of quality. But LEVEL-C from Cleveland / Ohio will change this perspective at least about 180 degrees. Their self titled debut after 6 years on the road has become a wild Heavy Metal hybrid inspired by MACHINE HEAD and GRIP INC and to some degree other younger American Metal bands. Can't help but this is modern Metal, high aggression level, great mosh parts - so Metal heart what do you want more? (hmm... how about some real Metal instead maybe? - Frank) LEVEL-C don't need the female and good locking bonus ("hot babes" in the words of their record company), they simply playing fresh and powerful Heavy Metal with a very modern edge. The cover artwork (a painting of a naked babe) is to say it on a very friendly way disappointing and I would like to ask LEVEL-C about their motives but who cares about the title "worst cover of the month" if the music can convince without any doubts. A powerful release with 100 % headbanging potential - so which Metal soul can deny this invitation! www.level-c.net, www.locomotiverecords.com
