Now the term "true Metal" has been used and overused lately either by new acts who don't know what the fuck real Metal is or by older acts who has erased the meaning of this term of their fucked up brain. But fortunately to feed our never satisfied hunger, some acts haven't forgotten what real Metal is all about and NASTY SAVAGE can be put on the top of that list! Now if you thought just like me that their recent newer tunes of "Wage Of Mayhem" were very promising for the future or extremely good, then let me tell you that this CD failed to prepare us for the deluge of molten Metal that you're gonna hear on "Psycho Psycho"!!!!! Holy shit I for one never expected to hear such an album in 2003 (well I'm a liar here because WARNING S.F. already ripped my head off but never expected another one to do it!). Bateman, Austin, Galletti, Meyer and Beeson have penned 12 songs here and when hearing them, you would never imagine that those gentlemen have been gone for like 12 years! Imagine a mixture between "Indulgence" and "Penetration Point" with a top notch production where every instrument can be heard perfectly, louder and sharper than ever (damn those guitars are just awesome!) and you got it! Between barrages of double bass assaults on the title track for example, furious raging guitar ripping in 'Hell Unleashed', vicious vocals on 'Return Of The Savage' (in good place for being one of the best song penned in the last 10 years - you won't believe the heaviness and the feeling in there, GODLY!), top notch ripping technicality in 'Merciless Truths', 'Betrayal System' or the unreal rendition of 'Savage Desire', pffeeww play that at a loud volume and it's gonna leave you breathless! Only a couple of tunes - in fact those written by Ben Meyer surprisingly sound somewhat generic and definitively not effective, those songs reminding me of the stuff used by OBITUARY / LOWBROW but not downtuned. A shame, hope he'll change his approach next time because he has proven many times in the past that he could come up with savage ripping material. If you call yourself a real Metaller then this is an album that you can't live without - eat my words people. A SCORCHER!
