"Release my demon, crush the gates, disease unleashed. I meet my fate, this is my hell but I don't crave for heaven, all my life is gone in a second. Dead in a second..." These are the very 1st verses for a song called 'Dead In A Second'; the opener song for the debut full-length studio recording ("Strike First - Strike Hard") of the Finnish Hardcore / Thrash Metal bunch named NO ONE IS SAFE. ONE ONE IS SAFE was formed in 2004 already - and they label themselves as a Hardcore act. To me, music wise they are definitely a hard-boiled, in-and-out Thrash Metal / Crossover band but that's because of the way how the vocals are sung on this record, full on repressed angst and defiant boasting. The band is undoubtedly full of against-all type of attitude of a Hardcore-Punk band but all that is supported by very testosterone-oozing, masculine and hostile Thrash Metal riffs that are everywhere on this extremely frenzy and aggressive sounding assault. Only on rare occasions one gets a chance to hear something this fist pounding and balls twisting stuff that the NO ONE IS SAFE's relentless gang does on this 11-track effort. Oh man, they have truly got some serious attitude - and even if their raw and merciless sonic violence lasts 26-something minutes, it's enough to make you feel like a bullet train just hit you.
