The THE REAPER COMES series exclusively features underground bands without record contract, offering a wide range of Death, Black, Thrash, Power and traditional Heavy Metal. On this volume 14 bands, mostly from Germany, appear in alphabetical order: AARDVARKS, ETERNAL PAIN, FINAL CRY, GARMENHORD (Belgium), HATRED, MEMORIAL PARK, OPHIS, SANITY, SENGAYA, SLAINE (Switzerland), STEELPREACHER, TREMORS, UNLIGHT and WARMACHINE (Canada). The sampler is provided with a professionally layouted booklet and excellent artwork which shows that someone really invested time and money. Quite natural for underground samplers the sound and musical quality differs from band to band, from average to excellent, which again is a matter of taste but you can be sure that there is no crappy stuff featured here. If you want a broad overview of some underground bands this sampler is definitely a good choice and the notion of offering a platform for unknown bands is absolutely worth being supported, that's for sure.
