GREENFLY from Spain are somewhere between BOLT THROWER, Swedish old school Death and grind attacks. Some parts (especially the melodic leads on ‘Crossbreaker’) even remind me of HAMMERFALL and the likes! Strange combination that might work if only I wouldn’t find their singer’s voices that bad! Monotonously he’s barking on the same level all through the whole album and gets on my nerves far too soon! If the whole band keeps working hard, there might be something cool coming out of this. But if you consider that these guys have been around for over 10 years, some doubt seems to be legitimate. Not bad, just a little boring.
