While listening to MORGON’s “Necrokult Archeochaosphere” I remember watching the lost episode of the Metal Evolution series, the one dedicated to the extreme Metal, when somebody claimed that France was not very known for its Metal band history, nothing more far away from the truth. France has always graced us with great bands of all genres, maybe not in huge amounts but more importantly, in quality and some of them even groundbreaking. Maybe this is not what MORGON is about, but this 4 piece of heavy and obscure Death Metal could fit in the early 90s era easily. This 73+ mins behemoth contains a classic mix of heaviness and aggression between CIANIDE, (old) INCANTATION, and even TEITANBLOOD so obviously this is not for those who love melody or the overhyped Djent type of stuff, this is pure and exclusively unadulterated Death Metal. One of the things that really come to my attention are the Chris Reifert type of vocals courtesy of Komodo, simply outstanding. MORGON must take this chance to prove themselves in terms of exposure in the Metal community and show potential fans what are they made off since they have a nice product to back it up.
