Rise Of Independence
(self-financed)

This band had been around since 2006 and this is the first time I hear something from them. It’s a German band who plays technical Death / Thrash Metal. My first impression is that the first riff that I heard reminded me of THE HAUNTED. Which isn’t a bad thing. It has some blast beats and guitar harmonies. The drumming is insane. Selim plays very fast double bass here. The album is very short considering that it has 10 songs. So it makes for an easy couple of listens in a row. If you’re into THE HAUNTED you will definitely love this album. ‘Hecate’ started with a fury that I haven’t heard in quite some time. It is one of the standout tracks here. There’s a memorable part at the 2:20 mark. Very enjoyable. The only thing lacking in this album are guitar solos, which could add at least like 40 seconds more to every song. Other than that it sounds great and enjoyable. At the first 35 seconds of ‘Chatterbox’, that guitar riff is awesome. The feeling I’m getting from this is like when I first listened to DARK ANGEL’s “Darkness Descends”. Fast Thrash that never slows down, aggressive and in your face. The production here is very good too. There isn’t any mid tempo music here. Just pure speed through and through. If you want to give this one a try, watch out for speedy rhythms and insane drumming. I had to give ‘Circle’ a couple of plays because I loved it so much. If you’re into fast Thrash that never gives you time to breathe, this album is for you. www.facebook.com/warfieldwithinmetal, https://warfieldwithin.bandcamp.com
