Mexican Death Metallers INFINITUM OBSCURE have split-up. Here’s the official statement that was posted by the band’s vocalist / guitarist Roberto Lizárraga: "To all friends and supporters of what used to be this band: After 15 years of non-stop Death Metal Darkness, 2 demos, 3 EPs, 3 full length albums, 2 U.S.A. tours, 1 European tour, 2 Mexican tours, a few festival appearances, and many one off shows in the USA and Mexico, INFINITUM OBSCURE has officially broken up. I am convinced that we did plenty, considering that we were only a small band from Mexico, and I always believed that we could do much, much more, but at this point, it is impossible to continue pushing forward with this band. We hail all of you who helped us spread our Death Metal Darkness in one way or another, all the record labels, concert bookers and promoters, magazines and fanzines that we had the pleasure of working with through out the last 15 years, we sincerely and eternally hail you all by the Metal of Death! To all the bands we played with in our 15 year life span, as well as all the bands we were friends with: it has been a real pleasure to have shared the Metal with you all. If we left any kind of legacy? I do not know that, I only know that every single note I wrote, and every single note I played, and every single word I spewed came from the very inner core of my obscure mind and soul in the most honest and profound way. Sincerely, Roberto Lizárraga." More information at: www.facebook.com/infinitumobscure
