James “Freight Train” Lee, vocalist on the ORIGIN albums “Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas”, “Echoes Of Decimation” and “Antithesis”, will join Kansas based Death Metallers UNMERCIFUL for the band’s first-ever appearance at this year’s Maryland Deathfest on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Andy Vincent (MORGUE DEFILEMENT) will be stepping in on drums, to replace UNMERCIFUL’s Trynt Kelly, who still struggles with health issues. Polish Death Metallers MORRATH have just released a new EP entitled “Obscure Abominations” digitally and on limited CD (300 copies) via Necroscope Blasphemia. The guitars, bass and vocals were recorded at Swiniarnia Studio Trzcinica by Damian Duda and the drums were recorded in Poznan by Mateusz Wrobel. The whole material was mixed and mastered by Michal Grabowski (CHRIST AGONY, TOWARDS HELLFIRE, FETO IN FETUS) and the cover artwork was created by Mieszko Jankowski (COFFINWOOD, LEPROZORIUM, NIGHT LORD). The CD edition features additional live tracks from the band’s split with LEPROZORIUM, “Przegnity Konglomerat”, which was released in 2025 on strictly limited edition cassette tapes (80 copies).
