Brazilian Death Metallers ESCARNIUM will embark on a European tour together with their country mates ROTBORN in September 2022. The tour kicks off on September 07, 2022 at the Kopf und Kragen club in Germany and will end on September 25, 2022, also in Germany (the final show is yet to be announced). On June 17, 2022 Svart Records will release a 2 CD / double vinyl compilation from Finnish old school Death Metallers THROMDARR entitled “Midwinter Frost – Complete Demo Tapes 1990-1997”. Back in 1989 guitarist Mika Kyöstilä, together with bassplayer / vocalist Ari “Ave“ Auvinen, formed NYMPHOMANIAC, a precursor to THROMDARR. They went through a line-up change and at first changed their name to NECROBIOSIS and in 1991 to THROMDARR. Their first demo “As A Wind Cries” ended up selling 500 copies. At the end of the millennium, the band signed a contract with Solistitium Records and released their debut album “NorthStorm Arrives” in 1998. This compilation will comprise of the following material. THROMDARR: “As A Wind Cries” (Demo 1992), “Winter Of Flames” (Demo 1993), “Silverthrone” (Demo 1995) and “Winds Of The Fall” (Demo 1997). NECROBIOSIS: “Consumed Tracks” (Demo 1990) and “Consume The Lifeless Cadaver” (Demo 1991). The demo tracks ‘Path Leads Over The Stone Bridge’ (1993) and ‘Frozen As The Moon’ (1997) can be checked out here and here. Former guitarist Kyöstilä commented on the compilation as follows: “The tapes haven’t been remixed afterwards. Instead, they sound as primitive as when they were originally released. Topeka, Kansas based technical Death Metallers ORIGIN will release their eighth full length “Chaosmos” on June 03, 2022 via Agonia Records (Europe) and Nuclear Blast Records (rest of the world). It will feature the following tracks: ‘Ecophagy’, ‘Chaosmos’, ‘Cogito, Tamen Non Sum’, ‘Panoptical’, ‘Decolonizer’, ‘Cullscape’, ‘Nostalgia For Oblivion’ and ‘Heat Death’. You can already listen to the album opener ‘Ecophagy’ at this location. It was engineered, produced and mixed by Rob Rebeck (UNMERCIFUL, VÄNLADE) at GFM Recording Studios in Blue Springs, Missouri and Chapter 2 Recording in Lenexa, Kansas. The vinyl LP version will follow later this year.
