Germany’s Dunkelheit Produktionen will re-release WANDERER‘s "Bypassing The Abyss" album this Fall (it was originally released on Magik Art in 2005). The original master, that was damaged before pressing, has been carefully repaired and re-mastered and the new edition comes as a digipak with a 12-page booklet including Mysterion’s (vocals / lyrics / artwork) original pictures and art of the Russian designer Al.Ex. Vocalist Jordan Dorge of Canadian Melodic Death Metallers LAIKA has issued the following statement regarding last month’s ill-fated Laikaruptour 2012 with tech Deathers ABHORUPT: "We are back safe and sound from tour, it was a rocky one but we kept our spirits up. First we would like to thank all the promoters, bands and fans for making this tour possible. We unfortunatly only got to complete 3 of the 8 shows we had booked out west. Our van broke down 3 hours outside of Vancouver, we were super crushed as we were looking forward to hitting Vancouver again and the rest of the dates. We got it towed to a nearby town and they helped us get to kamloops where we waited for the van to get fixed up. Other than the blown transmission we had a successful tour, showed fans a little taste of new material and got our new guitarist worked into the tour life. We are already making plans as your reading this to make up for the lost dates so stay tuned. See the tour video below to witness the journey we had!" Polish melodic Death Metallers EMPATIC have replaced guitarist Jakub Bednarski with Piotr Kain Kolakowski (NEYRA, VIOLENT CREED) and drummer Jaroslaw Sliwka Krzysztof Bednarowicz (MANIPULATION, DEATHBRINGER) has also returned to the band. The band is currently working on their next studio album which will be recorded in the second half of 2013 in SB Studio in Ostroleka. www.empatic.com

Sweden’s EVOCATION will release their fourth album "Illusions Of Grandeur" through Century Media Records on September 24, 2012 in Europe. Cover artist Xaay, who already worked with EVOCATION on the "Apocalyptic" album, has delivered the artwork for the new album once again. The album was recorded at IF Studios (IN FLAMES, THE HAUNTED etc.) and Evocation Studios together with producer Roberto Laghi (IN FLAMES etc.), mixed at IF Studios by Roberto Laghi and mastered at Bohus Sound Studios by Dragan Tanaskovic. Iceland’s Death Metallers ANGIST have been signed by Abyss Records. Sweden’s GOREMENT have signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records for the release of the band’s entire recordings. "Within The Shadow Of Darkness – The Complete Recordings" will be released on September 24, 2012 on 2 CD and double vinyl (incl. the 2 CD) as well as digital download. The entire musical content has been remastered from the original master tapes by Dan Swanö, who has already been in charge of the production of GOREMENT’s demos and the "Into Shadows" EP. Dan Swanö comments: "GOREMENT was one of the first bands outside my "circle" that I ever recorded. The first demo was done on a 4 track portastudio, and I must say I am a bit surprised that the sound on that one is the coolest after the restoration!! Gorement could have been so much bigger if they had recorded the 1st album in a studio that would have given them the fat and "gory" sound their music deserves. The songs are catchy and the musicianship high above average in the SweDeath scene at the time. It was a pure pleasure to revisit these recordings and carve out the best sonics possible." Belgian melodic Black Metallers SAILLE have entered Shumcot Studios in Aartrijke (Belgium) with producer Reinier Schenk (GORATH, FLESHMOULD) to begin recording their as yet untitled new album, for a January 2013 release via Code666 Records. Keyboard player Dries Gaerdelen commented: "When creating our new album, I did research on and was inspired by several ancient destruction rituals. The new songs are therefore darker, faster, more aggressive and create a feeling of unease. The lyrics written by frontman Dennie Grondelaers, explore the history of those death rites. With the drums being recorded a while ago, we’ve all got a "recording state of mind" and have a feeling we’re creating more than just songs. We’re looking forward to unleashing our creations on the audience, both on CD and live!" The artwork will be created by Polish digital landscape artist Michal Karcz who also developed the bands former artwork.
