Spanish Death Metallers AVULSED will release a very special cover album, entitled “Nordic Embryogenesis”, on which the band pays tribute to the primitive depths of Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian Death Metal. It will feature tracks from cult demos and EPs that, in many cases, were the only recordings those bands ever left behind. The eleven songs will be unveiled individually, each accompanied by its own exclusive artwork. A first song will be revealed on June 26, 2026, more will follow every week until the end of August. The band will not reveal the tracklist or the names of the bands being covered beforehand, keeping speculation and anticipation alive until the album’s final release. “Nordic Embryogenesis” will be available on CD, vinyl LP, cassette tape and digital formats via Xtreem Music on September 09, 2026. The drums on the recordings were tracked at The Empty Hall Studios in Madrid during April, the guitars between March and May at Acórdica Studios in Zaragoza and the vocals at Sanctuary Studios in Cáceres. The whole material was mixed by Alejandro Lobo at Acórdica Studios during May and June and mastered by Davide Billia at MKII Studios in Italy.
