Contributors wanted!!!! VOICES FROM THE DARKSIDE is constantly in need of reliable underground maniacs, that are interested to contribute to our website. Your musical taste should be along the lines of what we cover here (Black, Death & old school Thrash Metal, as well as classic 80s Metal acts) and the english language shouldn’t be a problem for you either. Same goes for the necessary time and motivation to do this on a regular base. Due to the fact that we will have to forward promo CDs to you, we prefer to work with interested people from inside of Germany (the postage costs to send material to foreign countries is simply ridiculous, not to mention the waste of time). But if you’re running a zine, radio show, label, mailorder or whatever (so that you have access to a lot of new releases yourself) you may contact us from outside of Germany as well. So, don’t hesitate any longer and get in touch!
Ibex Moon Records has inked a deal with Tampa, Florida based DENIAL FIEND, the new project of vocalist Kam Lee (Masscare, Death), bassist Terry Butler (Massacre, Death, Six Feet Under), drummer Curtis Beeson (Nasty Savage) and Sam Williams (Down By Law, Pseudo Heroes). "I’m proud to work with these Metal and Death Metal pioneers and I look forward to Denial Fiend putting out a great release", said Ibex Moon owner John McEntee. "I feel that they will appeal to old school and newer Metal fans alike." The band’s debut album, which will also mark Lee’s first full-length recording in over a decade, is planned for a June 2007 release. The album is tentatively titled "They Rise." "I think Denial Fiend will surprise a lot of people", said Butler. "This is not a ‘flash-in-the-pan’ side project. It’s a band that is dedicated and ready to bring Metal to the masses!" A demo recording of the track ‘Cover Me In Blood’ is available on Denial Fiend’s MySpace page at ww.myspace.com/denialfiendband. Kam Lee is also working on a project with Matt Olivo of REPULSION called DEJECTA… "It’s an old band he had at one time, but he wants to re-form it with me on vocals", says Lee when VOICES contacted him about his current activties. Kam was also asked by Phil of Malevolent Creation to join as vocalist for the new HATEPLOW album. "I haven’t heard back from him in a few months… so I don’t know if that is still a go or not." He also announced plans for a MASSACRE tribute album, to be released in 2008. "I’m still trying to find a label that will release it and more bands to participate… I already have bands like THANATOS from Holland and FROZEN ILLUSION from Germany (they are now THE CRIMSON GHOSTS) and maybe NUNSLAUGHTER from the US."
