Finnish Doom / Deathers HOODED MENACE have just re-signed to Season Of Mist for the release of their next full-length via the label. The band commented on it as follows: “We’re looking forward to work with Season Of Mist for more HOODED MENACE music! This is the first time for us to re-sign to any label, so that says a lot, I suppose. Since we are not playing live anymore, but went back to being a “studio band” only – just like HOODED MENACE was meant to be in the beginning – we’ve decided to part ways with Teemu Hannonen (rhythm guitar) in good spirits and continue as a three-piece.” HOODED MENACE’s previous album “The Tritonus Bell” was released on August 27, 2021 and can still be streamed at this location. Finnish Folk Black Metallers KOUTA will release their debut full length “Kaarnaköydet” on April 21, 2023 on CD and digitally. A visualizer video for their new single ‘Häpeä’ is already available over here. The drum parts of the album were recorded in a remote cabin in Lapland, the guitars and bass at Pekka Posio’s studio in Helsinki. Vocals, choirs and all other instruments together with the live recording of ‘Äitimaan Laulu’ were recorded at Sonic Pump Studios, Helsinki. “Kaarnaköydet” was mixed by Pekka Posio and mastered by Svante Forsbäck.
