5 crushing tracks of old school Death Metal all the way. This to me takes the best of both, Black and Death Metal, thought I would say this is way more Death Metal than Black Metal. To me only some of the Black Metal shrieks here and there and also vocal parts would qualify as Black Metal. The music is fast and furious and doesn’t let up much, with only a few slower paced breaks here and there, and that was fine by these ears. The production has that raw and muddy type of sound that was big back in the late 80s with some of the Death Metal demos I was getting. Some of the music reminded me just a bit of the debut release by INCANTATION at times. The singer, he sings with a lot of feeling and emotion and his voice is perfect for the Death Metal sounds on this. I also liked that this band doesn’t sound like every other Death / Black Metal band out there these days. Glad to see a band out there holding up the old school Death Metal banner up there nice and high and this is easily worth checking out. Limited to 100 copies on cassette.
